Warburton Tennis Cup 2009 - Winners and pictures

THE WARBURTON TENNIS CUP

After a 1 hour rain delay on Saturday 24th, the Men's singles competition was off and running with the eventual Men's A Singles winner Steven Andrews (pictured lower right) in great form throughout the day. On Sunday 25th under a clear blue sky and temperatures in the low 30's, the Men's and Women's doubles competition was an excellent competition for spectators.

The Men's Doubles finished in a tie break after being 7-7 games each in the 'superset' to 8, and then level at 5-5 in the tiebreak. Paul and Joseph (bottom right) won through and are deserving winners. Women's doubles winners Jo and Julie played consistently good tennis and took out the Women's Doubles title 6-4.
