Played since 8 years old From the time I started playing competition, I played as often as I could. People used to joke that I (and my dad, who was a regular player and heavily involved at Bennettswood TC at committee level) should have a mattress at the club!!

Played junior competition at Bennettswood Tennis Club in E.M.R.L.T.A. and W.D.T.A. Played senior competition at Bennettswood Tennis Club and East Burwood Tennis Club in W.D.T.A. Began playing Tennis Victoria Senior Pennant at age 13 at East Camberwell Tennis Club.  Played Tennis Victoria Senior Pennant for East Camberwell, Notting Hill/Pinewood and Waverley and District – the last several years at Grade 1 Captain of winning Grade 2 team for Waverley and District Pennant Club

Won various Junior and Senior singles and doubles titles Multiple Junior and Senior Club Championship winner at Bennettswood Tennis Club

Commenced coaching year after Year 12 while at Monash University. Following year was asked by the head coach, Chris Wilson, to coach full-time at Ajax Maccabi Tennis Club in East St Kilda. Thought this was just an obvious and natural progression of my tennis career and my passion for tennis and so I accepted the offer; starting with 5 hours per week. Within 18 months I became a partner with Chris and we were beginning to employ other coaches to cope with the demand. After 7 years, when we bought a real estate business in Eden, NSW, the coaching business had grown to include 4 full-time coaches and 5 part-time coaches and conducting around 200 hours of coaching per week.

Prior to my return to full-time coaching at the beginning of 2008, I owned and ran for the previous 5 years a tennis specialist retail store. As a result, I have developed a detailed knowledge of racquet technology and its importance and the effect it can have on a player’s game. I have also developed a detailed knowledge of stringing and customizing racquets to best suit the player’s game. I am now using the same stringing machine that is currently used at the Australian Open.

My tennis knowledge covers the full breadth of tennis – technical skills, tactical,

strategy, fitness, equipment assessment, preparation and selection etc.

I will be offering lessons in a variety of formats:

Group, private, semi-private for children and adults

Team lessons for strategy and tactical purposes

Modified tennis programs for younger and less experience players

Holiday clinics/Tournaments

Squads will be developed for more intense training and detailed learning
